Though Quinoa is used as grain, it is actually the seed of an annual herb. The tiny quinoa seeds are shaped like rounded discs and are naturally gluten-free. The Organic Tricolour Quinoa Grain is a mix of white, red, and black quinoa. Quinoa grain can be cooked as one would with rice, on the stovetop or in a rice cooker. It absorbs more water than rice and develops a unique aroma during cooking.
Organic: black quinoa, red quinoa, white quinoa.
Rinse thoroughly by running under fresh water for 3 minutes. Place 1 cup of grain and 2 cups of water in saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce to simmer, stirring occasionally for 7 to 10 minutes.
