Popcorn is a type of corn that explodes from the kernel and puffs up when heated. It is considered a healthier snack option, since it is 100% unprocessed whole grain. Other than its high fibre contents, popcorn is also a good source of iron and B Vitamins. This is grown from non-GMO corn.

Brush a heavy saucepan with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Heat pan and add 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels, then cover. Keep shaking the covered pan until all kernels have popped. Add desired ingredients to taste. It can also be made in a popcorn maker.
Popcorn is usually served salted or sweetened. The sweetened variety takes many forms, including caramel corn and popcorn balls, and is often mixed with candy, nuts and chocolate. For a savoury snack, mix with nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavour, or spice it up with chili or cayenne pepper for a spicy kick!
