One of my primary reasons for blogging when I set out was to keep a timeline of what’s happened in my life. I figure if I can hang onto this database long enough, I’ll be able to read it back to help me recall things when I’m old and geezerish.

So with my track record lately, there are a few months of my life will vanish like the wind.

C’est la vie.

In an effort to get back on track, here’s the unabridged version of what’s happening these days:

We ‘moved’ into our new house in Charleston on Saturday, June 13. We have the best friends in the world. Jon, Joel, and Randy helped load everything up, and then Jon, Joel, and Jason stinkin’ drove all the way to CHS with me to unload and set up. Katie kept the girls while Annette was at a girls’ overnighter/going away party. Then Terri drove Annette and the girls to CHS on Sunday. Forever indebted.

Got there…at 10:30pm…I was nearly in tears when Todd Mag, David Kite, Dave Cole, Chad Kello appeared out of nowhere and helped unload everything. 5 hours to load…23 minutes to unload.

That was moving-round 1. Just the big stuff. We stayed in CHS for a week to get adjusted and let the girls get a feel for the place. Best idea ever. Had a great week getting acclimated and hanging out with our new ‘family.’ Just one week, already doing life with folks in CHS. Loving it.

The girls LOVE the beach. Kenni Caia turns into a daredevil and runs into the ocean like she’s a fish who found water. I got teary-eyed watching them.

Chad Kello bought me dinner Friday night. I am loving getting to know this guy. He challenges my thinking, encourages me, makes me laugh. A great friend already.

Drove back to ATL on Saturday. Didn’t leave CHS until 6 which means we didn’t get home (because we have children) until 2am. Caia’s not a good rider. She screams when she wants her bed. She wanted her bed. Bad.

Our Georgia house is a disaster. ALL the decor and boxes are still there. ALL the furniture is gone. Kenni slept on her floor. Caia in the Pac n play. Jac on our bedroom floor. Us on a futon. Good times. 4 hours of sleep.

Sunday = Father’s Day. That was a crazy one. I’ll post about that separately.

Today, Annette had a pain treatment appointment 1-1/2 hours away. Two nurses and a doctor couldn’t get the IV in her arm, so they had to stick three needles into her spinal cord without any pain killer. So the pain killed. We decided to stay an extra night at my folks’ place.

But here’s what the rest of the week looks like…

Two websites to finish up this week. Feeling the heat.

Having coffee with Chris Lockhart Tuesday. Looking forward to that. He’s planting The Grove in McDonough.

Going to the Ortho on Thursday to determine whether or not Annette will be having disc replacement surgery. Fun times. She hurts…a lot. Hoping we can get this thing on the books and get her some relief.

Gotta list our house this week.

Gotta pack up the rest of our house this week.

Gotta separate the “keep” from the “sell” and the “give away” piles.

Garage Sale on Friday and Saturday…IF we can get our act together in time.

Gotta get the rest of our Financial Support Team established.

Going away party at West Ridge Sunday night. Tears shall be shed.

Going away party with our Journey Group Monday night. Many more tears shall be shed.

And on the 30th or the 1st, we’ll tow a trailer one last time (hopefully) to kick up our feet in Charleston for good.

Sweet mother. Calgon…take me away!
