I get so many comments on my wedding ring…

Almost nine (9) years ago, Annette put this ring on my finger at a little church in Kennesaw, GA.

It’s rare that someone tells me “I like your shirt”,  or “…hair”, or “…kicks”. But it’s literally at least once a day that someone says, “I love your ring! What does it say?”

Well, since you asked, it’s a piece of Ruth 1:16.

כִּי אֶל־אֲשֶׁר תֵּלְכִי אֵלֵךְ

It reminds me that Annette said that she’d go wherever I go.

For better or worse.

If only they could meet the woman behind the ring.

She’s a rock. Too many days, she thinks she’s so weak and/or that she’s failing.

But she isn’t.

At all.

She is an all-star, and she has my heart completely.

Every. Day. Matters.

There is nothing ordinary about you.

There is nothing ordinary about your life.

You were created by and for a loving God to experience the riches of His personality and His creation.

You were also created for Him to enjoy…you.

Do not waste your life by living it for your own enjoyment. Live it for His as well.

This 6-minute video shows the beauty of a day.

Every. Day. Matters.

On August 27th, 2009 Jonathan Harris turned 30 and began a simple ritual of taking one photo every day and posting it to his website before going to sleep.

This is a short film about Jonathan’s project, made a few weeks after he stopped it, by Scott Thrift

Now this is just plain cool. Worth every one of the 300 seconds it’ll take you to watch it.

A Touchscreen Kitchen Counter?

Can faith be taught?

We all have faith. Just trying to stand up beside our bed in the morning is an act of faith; we assume that our legs won’t fold under us as we rise to our feet.

But many things in life require much more faith… Finances, careers, choosing a spouse, having children, giving generously. Belief–or disbelief–in God.

So it’s a given that we HAVE faith that can be used as a guide to our steps. But for those of us who struggle with using our faith with “the big stuff,” can we be trained to stretch our faith? Is it like a muscle that grows stronger with exercise and resistance? Could a mentor who is gifted in the area of living by faith “coach” us to expand our faith?

Whatcha think?

Yep.

Treating @morelucy to a night on the town for Valentine’s Day. This is how us high-rollin’ church-planters roll…
