Moving the blog…
I’ve had a tough time keeping up with my blog during our transition to Charleston. But during all the craziness I’ve been building a long list of topics for posts I’m aching to write.
So to help keep things streamlined, and, quite frankly, to make this thing a little easier for me to manage, I’m changing over to a new format.
For the foreseeable future, this little slice of my world will be found at stephenparris.me.
Meet me over there.
Cool?
Bold Move…
Just sent this out to a bunch of friends and family… Got a little nervous there hitting send b/c this is our biggest step of faith since deciding to move to Charleston. Would you pray that God would meet this need, and then make it overflow? There are some specific ways we want to bless some folks with whatever God gives us beyond our monthly budget.
And maybe you could jump on board?

Play a Message from the Parris Family
Greetings from the Parris family! We’re sending this message to quite a few people…friends we see often, new friends, friends we haven’t seen in years, and precious family. It’s a little intimidating for us, to be honest. So thanks in advance for taking the time to read it thoroughly and prayerfully.
In June of this year, our little family of five loaded up a cargo trailer…three times…and moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Charleston, South Carolina. After serving for eight years at West Ridge Church, God had called us to help start a brand new church community called River Church.
#perfectday
I won’t lie… The last few days have been a little discouraging. Some financial realities have been on the forefront of my mind. And last night I got wind of a situation that really shook me…maybe more than it should have. But it did nonetheless.
And then today happened.
1. Met with the principal at the school we’ve been praying about renting for our worship services at River Church. We kept waiting the hear the “but” or the “no, we can’t do that.” Never heard it. Contract in hand, ready for ink. Amazing facility, amazing price. Extraordinary relationship with the school…already. Glory to God.
2. Spent the afternoon with the River Church staff enduring some tedious training. But loved every minute of it. Why on earth do I deserve to be a part of this team? Glory to God.
